Making Hope Real

Help Us Save Tribe One!

Since 1991, Tribe One has been serving Knoxville’s inner city by supporting underserved youth in their effort to stay alive and free, develop as future community leaders, and attain economic self-sufficiency. Our model empowers youth to make informed choices about the path of their future by exposing them to a variety of options available to them. We offer a safe and supportive environment for youth, where they can learn business skills through our screen-printing enterprise, and receive educational enrichment through our Children’s Defense Fund Freedom Schools summer program and After-School Program.

During these difficult economic times, please consider making a financial contribution to help us continue to serve our children!

About Us

Tribe One is a social purpose enterprise that serves inner-city youth in East Knoxville.  Tribe One uses a screen-printing business to fund its educational youth programs and offer workforce development for young adults.

Programs offered at Tribe One include Tribe One Screen Printing, Children’s Defense Fund Freedom Schools Program, Harambee (a female mentoring program), and the Tribe One After-School Program that incorporates tutoring, educational workshops and activities, social and life skills development, and an urban gardening curriculum.

Tribe One serves youth in the East Knoxville community and has partnered with many local elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as formed working relationships with other area non-profit organizations to help create a strong, healthy community. It is our hope to positively change the community we live in, beginning with our children.
